Join amaas for a weekend of intriguing new works and good conversation at the AMAAS 7th Annual Conference. This year’s Conference offers artist talks, special performances, screenings and more. Come network and celebrate Alberta’s media artists.
What’s On? Special programming includes:
Ø An artist talk and presentation of recent works by David Hoffos. Experimenter, storyteller, Sobey Art Award winner, Hoffos is an acclaimed media artist whose installations have been featured in a number of solo exhibitions across the country.
Ø A seminar/discussion by Nicole Mion about interdisciplinary art creation. Dancer, choreographer, conceptual artist and film collaborator, Nicole Mion is a fascinating artist who explores complexity and humanity in a wide array of disciplines.
Ø An interactive, handmade “animation jam” with QAS — for those who enjoy instant art gratification.
Ø Guest performer Shawn Pinchbeck and his experimental sonic/video performance!
Ø The premiere screening of the 8th Annual Prairie Tales, a collection of recent works from Alberta artists.
It all takes place at the Olds College Campus in sunny Olds, Alberta.
