Congratulations to AMAAS member organization Reel Shorts Film Festival in Grande Prairie for their designation as an approved festival by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.
Films accepted into Reel Shorts can now use the festival as one of its application requirements for the Canadian Screen Awards. Reel Shorts is the fifth approved festival in Alberta. The others are: Edmonton International Film Festival, Calgary International Film Festival, Global Visions Film Festival and the Banff World Media Festival.
Films must be accepted at two approved festivals to be eligible for a Canadian Screen Award.
The submission deadline for the 2014 Awards is October 18, 2013.
