GENERAL INFORMATION
The May 21 – 23 conference “Media & Energy” took place at the Grande Prairie Regional College, and featured screenings of new work (Priairie Tales, & more); workshops (critical writing, artistic practice), a presentation by special guest artist Bruce Baber (media artist, author, professor, crticial theorist), commissioned art projects (Ian Birse/Laura Kavanaugh; Bernice Morin; Tom Andruik), parties, meals and entertainment!
A weekend of workshops, screenings, professional development, and discussions on the theme of ~media & energy ~ for media artists, writers, producers, and presenters at Grande Prairie Regional College. Registration includes workshops, activities, recreation and accommodation.
amaas is a provincial arts service organization representing media arts centres across the province.
Our members are: Boreal Electroacoustic Music Society (BEAMS), Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers (CSIF), Dream Speakers Festival, EMMEDIA, Film and Video Arts Society of Alberta (FAVA), Global Visions Film Festival, herland, Medicine Hat Film Festival, Metro Cinema, NUTV, Quickdraw Animation Society (QAS)
