The Calgary Underground Film Festival (CUFF) is a fresh new festivalcommitted to the celebration of alternative vision showcasingindependent, provocative and experimental films and videos. Thefestival will features works that defy convention in form, style, andcontent by screening a wide spectrum of contemporary works in a varietyof categories: feature, documentary, animation, short, and experimental.

Founded in 2003, CUFF is a collective of arts administrators,festival organizers, and media artists who saw a void in alternativefilm and video exhibition for Calgary film enthusiasts. Calgary'sthriving and growing arts community earmarks for us the perfectopportunity to bring in something new, innovative and challenging. Theunderground film festival theme is something that, new to Calgary, onlybuilds upon what other major cities around the world have already initiated. CUFF is a registered not-for-profit Society under theAlberta Societies Act.
