One of the most active media arts organizations in Western Canada,
CSIF is based in Calgary. Their mission is to “encourage film making as
art...”.
CSIF provide production, equipment, and a broad range of special programs and screenings.
CSIF has helped develop several festivals, including the $100 Film
Festival and Fairy Tales, both now well establish in Calgary. CSIF is
one of the founding members of amaas, and still actively contributes
through board membership.
