Video: Interview with Filmmaker Hernan Moreno (The Gift)
Originally from Colombia, filmmaker Hernan Moreno has found a community in Calgary where the emerging director can hone his craft and meet others who share his passion for celluloid. His short, "The Gift" screens as part of the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers’ 18th Annual $100 Film Festival running March 4 – 6 at 7 p.m. nightly at the Plaza Theatre (1133 Kensington Road NW). The festival features three days of local, national and international low-budget experimental films finished on Super 8 and 16 mm as well as a series of local films set to live musical accompaniment (the Film/Music Explosion!).
