Aboriginal Youth Animation Project-Screening (MARCH 20)
The Aboriginal Youth Animation Project is a program for community action through animation involving Aboriginal participants between the ages of 18-29.
For 20 weeks participants worked as a team to create animations on issues related to youth, culture and identity. Quickdraw Animation, the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth (USAY) and the Alberta Friendship Centre of Calgary (AFCC) have partnered to launch this exciting project.

This is a notice of the Quickdraw Animation Society
Special General Meeting
Thursday March 11, 2010 at 6:30 pm
The meeting will take place at QAS Headquarters
351 – 11th Avenue SW Calgary
Attention all Quickdraw Members:
The Quickdraw Board of Directors is calling a Special General Meeting for March 11, 2010, to:
-Appoint new board members
-Gain volunteers for Quickdraw’s committees
-Encourage important member feedback on Quickdraw’s new initiatives.
All members are invited to attend to nominate and elect new board members.
We are looking for board members who are:
-Working artists and/or animators to contribute a creative voice to the board
-Interested in adding to the creative initiatives at QAS, including as committee chairs
-Able to attend monthly meetings and events as a representative of Quickdraw Animation Society
To nominate yourself or anyone else from the Quickdraw community please email programming_(at)_quickdrawanimation.ca
The SGM will take place Thursday March 11, 2010 at 6:30pm, and your attendance is important as we need enough members to vote and this is your opportunity to express your views. The meeting will also include a Board update on the general status of QAS. Also, keep posted for a special screening announcement to follow the meeting!

If you cannot attend the SGM, but would still like to vote, a proxy can vote for you. You need to print and sign the attached proxy form, and have your stand in bring it to the SGM. Both you and your stand in must be active Quickdraw members (for at least 30 days prior to the SGM).
