The Seventeenth Annual Prairie Tales Media Arts Tour AMAAS (Alberta Media Arts Alliance Society) invites filmmakers, videographers, documentarians, and animators to submit their recently completed works to Prairie Tales, an annual touring program of short works by Albertan media artists.
In its 17th consecutive year, the Prairie Tales Tour celebrates the diversity of work created by media artists in our province. In circulation over several months, Prairie Tales screens throughout Alberta and across Canada at media art centres, galleries, schools, libraries, community centres and film theatres.
Eligibility
A work is eligible for submission to Prairie Tales if: it was completed during the 12-month period prior to the deadline* it has a running time of 20 minutes or less its creators primary residence is in Alberta
Submissions
Fill out the online submission form here. Links to submitted works are accepted via Vimeo only.
Works must be submitted in final edited form. Prairie Tales 17 will be curated by AMAAS staff and a peer jury. Artists whose work is included in the program will be paid the CARFAC rate for multiple film/video screenings.
There is no submission fee.
*The deadline for submissions is 5:00pm on January 31, 2015.*
